AMX Introduces New NXP-PLV Modero PosiTrack Pilot Camera Controller Offers Widescreen Preview

AMX unveiled the industry's first camera controller with widescreen video preview. The next-generation NXP-PLV Modero PosiTrack Pilot Camera Controller adds Ethernet connectivity and a seven-inch Modero Widescreen Touch Panel, making it ideal for any live or recorded broadcast event, including religious services; local, state and federal government proceedings; classroom lectures and complex video conferences.

Using the graphical interface on the NXP-PLV's integrated Modero Widescreen Touch Panel, the operator can select cameras, visually track and change their movement, store and recall presets and adjust each camera's settings. The controller also includes a proportional pan/tilt/zoom joystick and controls for focus, iris and speed. With the right hand on the soft wrist pad, the operator can also intuitively guide the camera and twist the joystick to zoom the lens in and out. Simultaneously, a quick spin of the side-mounted control knobs fine-tunes focus, iris and speed.

Features
Designed with the camera operator in mind, the NXP-PLV includes a 7" Modero widescreen color-active touch panel with a video display, a proportional pan/tilt/zoom joystick and focus, iris, and speed controls. An external switch input provides hands-free selection of any system feature. A standards-based Ethernet interface allows easy connection and relocation. The NXP-PLV will control the PTE-300 or most other commercial pan/tilt heads.

The Modero G4 7" 16x9 Display and S-Video input provides clearer preview for widescreen applications. A standards-based Ethernet interface allows faster integration with existing network backbones and compatibility with the PTE-300 and NetLinx controllers. External input switch provides recall of camera preset, router switching, or any other control system function.
