Broadcast Pix has announced the release of their Slate G Series switchers which will replace their current line of Slate systems.

Live video production used to mean assembling an expensive control room and hiring a team to run it. Now Slate switchers from Broadcast Pix have an entire control room built-in. It’s easy to create high-end live television, even working solo. Every Slate system includes and integrates a production switcher, character generator, clip store and monitoring. All use 16:9 and 4:3 content interchangeably, without distorting native aspect ratios. Just add cameras and a monitor. Options extend control to robotic cameras and audio mixers. Choose an HD/SD model, or SD digital only, or analog, or hybrid. All processing is 10 bit quality.

Slate uses both video and files to streamline workflow inside the system and with the rest of your studio. HD and SD clips and graphics flow into Slate from edit stations, even during the middle of a production with Watch-folders. SnapShot and TimeLine Memories control all studio devices. You can connect the CG to a database, and enable two systems to share one group of sources for multi-mode productions, such as TV and web.

Slate G Series upgrades easily to 3Gb/s 1080p, the future of video production.
