Q1 for Digital Rapids will be busy. We will have our Carbon HD DDR version 1.00 ready for release. I know it has been sometime coming, but it will be nice to see this in the hands of customers. The core functions and features of this product will be available with this first release, and the product features will continue to grow in Q2. Success has allowed us to hire more talented people. From an original workforce of 6 employees 4 years ago, the company has grown to 33 employees. Many of these new employees are in the software development team. This expansion has allowed us to develop new and exciting products and features that will enhance what DR does today

Digital Rapids will unveil CarbonHD 1.0 software for the company's DRC-5500 capture hardware. The DRC-5500 hardware found inside the CarbonHD has been shipping with StreamZHD software for HD/SD ingest and transcoding since early in the second quarter of 2005. CarbonHD is a new software application bundled with the hardware to add playout capabilities and DDR functionality.
