Harris mCapture - Compressed Media Stream Recorder
The mCAPTURE Compressed Media Stream recorder is based on the processing technology of the DTP-300 providing the ability to demultiplex programs from a Compressed Media Transport Stream on either DVB-ASI-C or Gb Ethernet IP input and record them to disk for playout by the DTP-300 Content Playout system.
The mCAPTURE can also be used to record programs directly from digital satellite feed or use in post-production environments without the need to decode the feed to baseband.
mCAPTURE includes dual internal hard drives, configured as mirrored RAID for OS and application software. Additional storage space on drives providesapproximatelyy 66 hours of SD storage (@ 4Mb/s) or 14 hours of HD storage (@ 18 Mb/s). In Addition, the system may be paired with Network Attached Storage device to provide over 550 hours of SD recordings per each TB of storage (@ 4Mb/s SD rates). The mCAPTURE supports either CIFS or NFS connections to NAS.
