Panasonic- The AG-DVX100 is Shipping Press Release

The Panasonic AG-DVX100 is now shipping. VMI customer Copenhagen was the first to receive this much-anticipated camera. George Yahraei of George Yahraei Advertising took delivery for Copenhagen and began shooting their commercial during the third week of October.

The AG-DVX100 has received positive reviews and as the first camera to capture in 30i (video standard) and 24p (film standard) this professional camera is truly unique in its functions and affordability.

At 4.2 pounds, this camera has a newly-developed 1/3-inch progressive-scan and 410,000-pixel 3-CCD Image Solution offers more than 500 lines of horizontal resolution. The unit comes with a Leica Dicomer lense and has both manual and autofocus with markers on both the barrel and viewfinder making the focus control easy to use. The camera comes with the optical stabilizer, which adjusts for the jittering that occurs with most hand held cameras, and virtually eliminates any handshake. The ND filter switch at the side of the camera is easy to use and has a reminder when the ND is left on to turn it off in order to bring up the signal levels.

Audio is recorded in 16-bitm 48 kHz, with the option to move between lin/mic on each input with the built in audio monitor confirms audio recording. The unit has two XLR connectors and an external mic holder.

The menu settings are easily controlled via a jog control on the side of the camera.
