Pinnacle Systems Liquid Editing for Workgroups

Pinnacle Liquid Editing for Workgroups is a complete, affordable network editing solution offering unique collaborative editing features. Utilizing Pinnacle's Palladium Store 100 (PS100), Liquid Editing for Workgroups is the ideal solution for call letter stations, small post workgroups, corporate, government, educational operations and any other editing group that requires robust networked editing at an affordable price.

Liquid Editing for Workgroups is a Network Attached Storage (NAS) solution supporting up to 16 simultaneous Liquid clients via standard Gigabit Ethernet connections. Liquid Editing for Workgroups does not require additional costly hardware at the client level, making it an affordable plug-and-play option.

Liquid Editing for Workgroups also features Pinnacle's exclusive Media Access Server (MAS) protocol providing reliable network performance by guaranteeing bandwidth and efficient video transfers between clients and servers. The innovative Liquid Project Server streamlines workflow by enabling editors to instantly access and work on projects from any Liquid editor on the network.

Palladium Store 100 Server
The Palladium Store 100 server contains both the system storage and an IT server running Pinnacle's Media Access Server (MAS).

Benefits of the PS100 storage solution:
Security RAID 10 configurations provides an optimal combination of performance and security.
Easy Drive Replacement Dual hardware RAID controllers allow for drives to be replaced on the fly. The PS100 array of discs can rebuild while editors continue working.
Instant notification on drive failures. The hard drive management tools send an e-mail or page you if there are any problems with your PS100 storage.

Benefits of the Media Access Server:
Guaranteed Bandwidth Bandwidth to each client can be pre-defined. This ensures that a station that initiates a file copy will not get more than its defined amount of network bandwidth and compromise other stations on the PS100 network.
Bandwidth Throttling A client dedicated to ingest can be set to the highest quality of service. If the bandwidth limits of the systems are exceeded, your ingest station does not lose its guaranteed bandwidth to the server.
Optimized Network Data Transfers MAS server optimized data transfers to ensure the greater bandwidth on the system and to minimize fragmentation of your shared storage.

Liquid Project Server
Each Liquid Palladium Store 100 comes bundled with the Liquid Project Server which offers the following benefits:
Streamlined Workflow All of your Liquid projects are stored in a single location on the network. This provides editors a single source for finding, managing and archiving Liquid projects.
Efficient Network Usage Separating projects from media is more efficient in a shared storage environment. Projects require repeated, small data transfers while media requires large sustained reads and writes. Keeping the two servers separate guarantees a higher level of overall system performance.
Security The Liquid Project Server comes with mirrored drives to protect your projects.
