Sony HDC-X300 Compact HD camera
Sony HDC-X300 compact high definition camera is an ideal solution for broadcast and professional customers looking for an entry point into the world of high-definition. The first Sony HD camera to use three new 1.5-megapixel, half-inch CCDs, the HDC-X300 is designed for an array of applications, including point-of-view (POV) acquisition, large-screen projection, 24P cinematography and studio automation.
The new camera's flexibility enables it to be mounted on a crane or in a helicopter, used as a studio sub-camera or weather camera, or installed in nearly any location within a venue such as stadiums, conference room, houses of worship, or schools.
The HDC-X300 features a range of scanning modes, including 59.94i, 50i, 29.97psf, 25psf and 23.976psf, with 2-3 pulldown. With a minimum illumination of 0.003 lux with slow shutter, the camera features exchangeable lenses and slow shutter functionality (one to 64 frames). Weighing less than three pounds with no lens, the camera also consumes less than 20 watts of power.
