With the introduction of an innovative Sony codec chip, the DWT-B01 and DWR-S01D deliver extraordinary 24-bit/48kHz digital wireless audio transmission quality. The system is distinguished by its low-latency, secure and reliable operation. And, it provides up to 50 percent more simultaneous channels of operation compared to conventional analog systems. This Digital Wireless technology offers users substantially enhanced system flexibility along with vastly improved audio quality.

The Sony Digital Wireless Microphone System transmits high-quality 24-bit/48-kHz digital audio. Utilizing a proprietary Sony codec, the system delivers a wide dynamic range of more than 106dB, a wide frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, and exceptional transient response.

Incorporating a newly-developed digital modulator, The Sony Digital Wireless Microphone System realizes an inter-modulation-free, equally spaced channel allocation, which allows for large-scale multi-channel operations. Additionally, the system's cutting edge technology provides up to 50 percent more simultaneous wireless channels. For example, up to 12 channels of simultaneous operation is possible on a single UHF TV channel (6-MHz bandwidth) in the U.S.
