Sony Electronics’ Professional Display Group annoucned the all new VPL-CW125 Business Projector. The VPL–CW125 is Sony’s first compact WXGA (1366 x 800) resolution model – ideal for presentations from a wide-screen source such as 16:9 aspect-ratio video or a WXGA PC.

The VPL-CW125 projector employs 3LCD technology with Sony’s new Advanced Crisp Focus glass lens, designed to display sharper and clearer images. The VPL-CW125 features 3000 lumen brightness and is a perfect example of the flexibility and convenience Sony strives to incorporate in all its business projector offerings. From connectivity and security to advanced networking, the VPL-CW125 can address most any presentation need.

Features

  • High Brightness & High Contrast – The new VPL-CW125 uses a 3LCD projection system to reproduce bright and natural images. 3LCD is a projection system using three HTPS (High- Temperature Polysilicon) LCD panels. This system provides high light transmission and excellent color reproduction. It also provides smooth gradients in dark areas, and even helps prevent color breakup.
  • Versatile – The VPL-CW125 projector has great connectivity including 2 RGB inputs, monitor out, variable audio out, component and composite video, s-video and RS232C for control. The VPL-CW125 also has a built-in ID function – enabling it to be controlled independently using a single Remote Commander® unit - useful for multi-projector installations in a single room and during installation and operation.
  • Maintenance made Simple– The VPL-CW125 front-panel displays a message to alert users when lamps need to be replaced and filter cleaning is recommended. The lamp can be replaced from the rear of the projector and the filter can be removed from the front so there is no need to uninstall the projector for maintenance!
  • Network Capable - The VPL-CW125 has network capabilities for delivering presentations and performing maintenance over an IP network. A number of functions can be performed remotely via a web browser. A projector’s current status can be verified and simple controls can be performed, such as powering the unit on or off. The network capabilities allow automatic e-mail reports to be sent to remind users of scheduled maintenance, or alert them to errors and projected lamp life.

Additionally, up to five projectors can be connected to a network and the image from a single PC can be projected by each unit, useful in large venues and multi-room applications in which images need to be projected from various locations. By manually registering a PC’s IP address, images can also be projected across the country or even internationally for distance learning or long-distance communications.
