These new 16:9 native CCDs, combined with a high quality 12X Optical Zoom Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar® T* Lens and Sony's new 14 bit A/D and DXP Digital Extended Processor, result in precise image acquisition with superb detail and clarity. The advanced CCD design allows more light to reach the pixel imager, reducing video noise and improving the signal-to-noise ratio. The new HVR-Z1U records this exceptional imagery using the recently adopted HDV 1080i format onto a DVCAM™ mini cassette.

Canon XL-2 Camcorder
The Canon XL2 allows you to capture images closer to the finished product than ever before. Work that previously was limited to post-production can be simply and effectively accomplished in the field, in the camcorder.

Sony DSR-PD170
The new DSR-PD170 DVCAM compact camcorder provides high quality acquisition in the DVCAM component digital format, as well as in DV, allowing up to 40 minutes recording on one tape Mini DVCAM tape, or 60 minutes on the same tape in the DV mode. This compact camcorder features three Advanced HAD 1/3 inch CCDs that allow two scanning modes: 480 progressive (for still) and interlaced (for video). These Advanced HADT CCDs also provide high quality acquisition with increased resolution and sensitivity at reduced noise and vertical smear. The new enhancements to the CCDs have enabled the minimum illumination to be improved to an incredible 1 lux.

The DSR-PD170 also features a built-in slot for both MemoryStickr and a flash memory card for still image storage. Up to 988 JPEG pictures can be stored on one 64 MB MemoryStickr. In addition, the stored images can be mixed or keyed to the live image allowing logo insertion and/or mix effects. The built-in high MTF quality 12X electronic zoom lens features Auto focus and SuperSteadyShotT with manual Zoom, Focus and Iris control capability. Other enhancements from the DSR-PD150 include a larger high-resolution B&W viewfinder and a newly developed color swing out Hybrid LCD with greater brightness to increase monitoring capability in bright light conditions. The DSR-PD170 now has a larger handle with start/stop functions as well as zoom control on the handle for easy access and enhanced shooting capabilities.

Sony PDW-530 Camera
PDW-530 provides excellent picture quality, adapting 16:9/4:3 switchable Power HAD EX CCDs, the same camera block specification as MSW-900, MPEG IMX camcorder. It features MPEG IMX/DVCAM switchable recording and two built-in optical filter wheels (ND and CC). Uses DVCAM compression recording at 25Mbps up to around 85 min, MPEG IMX compression recording at 30Mbps up to 68 min, 40Mbps up to 55 min and 50Mbps up to 45 min.

In addition to these impressive capabilities, PDW-530 also provides numerous innovative features that take full advantage of the benefit of nonlinear disc media. To create and record proxy video & audio as well as various type of metadata, in addition to high resolution video & audio, can provide a completely new style of field operation. It supports network interfaces, i-LINK and PCM-CIA card slot for Ethernet/Wireless Ethernet, which can provide a combination with external PC, Laptop NLE, logging software application or e-Support, a new workflow in news gathering and field production process.

Optional 24-frame shooting card provides film-look capture capability with 24-frame capture in CCD.

AJ-SDX900 DVCPRO Cinema Camera captures film-like 24-frame images using CineGamma and features three 2/3 inch 520,000 Progressive CCD imagers. It is ideal for program production, independent filmmaking and content creation.

Panasonic AJ-SDC915P
The AJ-SDC915 camera/recorder provides impressive digital performance at a very reasonable price. Sony PDW-1500 VTR
The PDW-1500 is a half-rack sized recorder optimized for use with non linear editing systems. Despite its compact size, this deck offers high-speed data transfer between compatible nonlinear devices, creating a powerful editing tool for video productions. It features MPEG IMX/DVCAM switchable recording, DVCAM compression recording at 25Mbps up to around 85 min, MPEG IMX compression recording at 30Mbps up to 68 min, 40Mbps up to 55 min and 50Mbps up to 45 min. Also, proxy AV and variety of metadata can be created and stored into the disc. Two optical heads allows transfer speed of 5x for DVCAM file and 2.5x for MPEG IMX (@50Mbps) file as well as 50x for proxy AV file. Equipped with AV interfaces (SDI, Composite with RS-422A) as well as i-LINK (SBP2) and Gigabit Ethernet interfaces.
